About The Project
Jikan is a time tracking application that will be powered by Symphony version 2.
The term Jikan (
) means time. The Kanji means hour; and means between. The concept of “what one does between the hours” is a true reflection of this application.
Jikan is a side project brewed as a proof-of-concept for Symphony powered applications. Currently Jikan is nothing more than a series of HTML interfaces and we don't have any plans to turn Jikan into a proper product offering unless we see significant interests from users or investors. We plan to one day offer 2 versions of Jikan, a subscription-based online product (a free plan will be offered) and an offline package for enterprise server installs. We may also look into the option to offer its source code to Symphony developer members for free.
